Parallel allocation with shares. One person can be planned 30% in project A and 50% in project B. Utilization is the sum and conflicts are checked on that sum.
Flexible replanning without data chaos. A person can be removed from one project for a limited period and assigned elsewhere without rebuilding the whole plan.
